The Wreck Island Stream Bank (Established in 2005) is a Stream Mitigation Bank Located in Appomattox County Virginia. The “Property” is a 904 Acre parcel of which the Bank Resouce Limits encompasses 261 acres of this parcel. The Historical uses of this property were dominated by agriculture, commercial livestock operations and forestland. These features were modified to reestablish and enhance U.S. Waters and riparian systems to meet the growing demand of construction activities within the Upper James River Watershed. The Bank Resource Area includes approximately 30,000 linear feet of perennial and intermittent U.S. Waters with an additional undetermined amount of ephemeral resources. Via mitigation activiites within the 261 Acres of the Bank Resource Area, Earth Source Solutions was able to generate roughly 17,500 linear feet of stream credits.

The Bank was established to provide mitigation to compensate for impacts to Waters of the United States. The Service Area includes Hydrologic Units 02080203, 02080204, 02080205 and 02080207 within Greene, Orange, Albemarle, Nelson, Amherst, Bedford, Campbell, Appomattox, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Louisa, Goochland, Cumberland, Powhatan, Amelia, Prince Edward, Nottoway, Dinwiddie, Chesterfield, Henrico Counties and Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Richmond, Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg Cities.
